Cleveland Heights, OH - Retired New Orleans Police Officer Patrick Rose died on Sunday, August 6.
Born with a heart to serve, Officer Rose began his law enforcement career with the University Circle Police Department in Cleveland, Ohio.
He then served with the New Orleans Police Department, from 2001 until 2009, when he had to medically retire.
During a foot pursuit in the French Quarter, Officer Rose fell and was injured. After the fall, his vision became blurry, and he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis after testing. He continued to serve as a New Orleans police officer but eventually had to retire due to his medical condition.
He lived in New Orleans for many years after his retirement, but had recently returned to Cleveland Heights. Officer Rose is survived by many family members.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Retired New Orleans Police Officer Patrick Rose, both blood and blue. Godspeed, sir, we will take it from here. Thank you for your service.
