Funeral Set for DNR Conservation Officer Who Drowned on Pine County Lake Learfield Wire Services - TTWN Media Networks 4 hrs ago

(Pine City, MN) -- The funeral for the Minnesota D-N-R conservation officer who died in the line of duty is this Friday at the Pine City Civic Center. The memorial for Officer Eugene Wynn is scheduled to begin at noon and will follow a visitation beginning at 10:30 A-M. The 43-year-old D-N-R employee died Friday night when he apparently drowned after being thrown off a boat on Cross Lake in Pine City. Pine County Sheriff's Deputy Scott Grice was also thrown into the water and was rescued by a witness. The two officers were told that a possible body had been spotted on the lake and they went to investigate. Wynn is the 22nd D-N-R officer to die in the line of duty. He is survived by his wife, and two kids
