“I can’t breathe. I can’t breathe” Black people in this country dare not breathe

The terminated police officer's lawyer says he’s going to trial and that a jury will acquit him.

We need to create a Blue Lives Matter "Hall of Shame". The open and honest discussion about all corruption and other unacceptable behaviors of police officers.

From the article linked below: "Johnnie Rush got stopped for jaywalking … Christopher Hickman, the Asheville Police Department officer who repeatedly struck Rush in the head, used a stun gun on him and put him in a chokehold on the ground… The officer who repeatedly struck Rush in the head … resigned in January, just before he was terminated for violating the use-of-force policy, according to city officials. He was charged in March with felony assault by strangulation and misdemeanor assault inflicting serious injury and communicating threats for the August 2017 incident. His lawyer says he’s going to trial and that a jury will acquit him.

“What happened in these recordings is unacceptable and does not meet the standards of the Asheville Police Department, the values of the City of Asheville, or the expectations of Asheville residents,” city officials said in a written statement posted with the videos Monday. “Christopher Hickman’s actions violated the Asheville Police Department’s vision that all people are treated with dignity and respect. These actions have damaged the progress that the Asheville Police Department has made in the last several years in improving community trust.”

Good cops have always been involved in getting rid of bad cops. Their testimony carries much more credence than that of other people because they have been trained to observe and articulate the truth.

If police don't like liberal media using bad cops as tools, then they should be the ones publicly outing bad cops. I've noticed police chiefs doing that more frequently the past couple years, and its a good thing.

If your suspect can repeatedly say, "I can't breathe!" - then he can breathe. If he says, "Urk, urk, urk!", then he CAN'T breathe and you're doing the chokehold correctly.

Unfortunately bad cops do exist. Their irresponsible actions do irreparable harm to the reputations of all the good cops out there who take "protect and serve" seriously. The media and activist groups are quick to pounce on these situations and use them to justify their racial discrimination scenarios and persecution of ALL cops, not just the bad ones. What a shame! Why can't police forces get people who aren't crazy/incompetent? Don't they do psych testing anymore?

@LawfulPolicing
I'm all for this. Good cops need to start publicly putting bad cops on blast.

I'll bet The ball-less chief who fired this officer has never been in a physical fight in his life!

I agree. We also need idiots to take responsibility for their actions. This idiot ran his mouth enough to get arrested. Then he ran to avoid the consequences of his first mistake. Stupid.
