Jul 15, 2018 This is what happens when officers are forced to respond with "restraint." The perp hit the officer with a big rock in the head and shot him with his own weapon.

Jul 15, 2018 Sure, "stricter federal laws" are always the answer. Those state laws against shooting someone just don't seem to be working. Here's an idea that will probably get your (B.A.D''s) undies bunched up: a federal law that murdering a police officer is an automatic death penalty case, regardless of what state law says. Hey, it might not act as a deterrent, but it could cure recidivism.

Jul 15, 2018 On edit: Turns out stricter federal gun control laws would not have prevented this tragedy. This story is about the need for better retention holsters. Makes it harder to clear leather, but would have saved a Blue Life here.

Jul 15, 2018 This story is all too familiar. I can guarantee this will be another police shooting that most people will never hear about. If it was a minority, it would play on national news tonight. What a screwed up world we live in. Prayers for the officer.
