'Kill The Cops' - Unrest After Chicago Cop Shot 'Unarmed Black Man' With Gun
by Christopher BergA Chicago PD officer-involved shooting has sparked unrest and threats against police.
Chicago, IL - Protesters gathered and threatened to kill the police after a Chicago PD officer shot a man Saturday night.
The incident happened in the area of 71st St and Chappel Ave at around 5:30 p.m.
Community "witnesses" are claiming that an unarmed black barber was walking home from work when a Chicago PD officer shot him in the back as he was running away.
Other "witnesses" said that the man had a gun, but it was okay for the man to have a gun, because he had a concealed carry permit.
It's not clear if any of these witnesses actually witnessed the shooting.
UPDATE: Chciago PD confirms that the man had a gun.
No other information has been officially released about the circumstances of the shooting.
The condition of the suspect has not been officially released, but WGN9 reports that is he is dead.
No officers were injured in the shooting.
Neither the involved officers or suspect have been identified at this time.
Almost immediately after the shooting, a crowd gathered and started threatening to shoot the police officers.
At least one person started jumping on police cars.
The unrest has been captured on video by the large number of community activists who arrived following the shooting.

If I'm a police officer and I see suspicious behavior and a bulge I believe to be a gun, as an officer sworn to uphold the law I have a duty to protect my community -that's the whole reason they hired me! Thus I have an obligation to inquire. If the citizen cooperates and produces a valid concealed carry permit, then I apologize for any inconvenience, and we all go on our merry way! But if the citizen fails to cooperate, appears mentally unstable by exhibiting unruly and agitated behavior, or proceeds to behave like a perpetrator then as a law officer I will shift gears and proceed to treat him or her like a criminal. If he becomes combative (like he did in this case), and "reaches" in anger for what I believe to be a gun, what am I supposed to do? Wait for him to pull out the gun and shoot me dead?! Is that what you armchair experts on the left would do if you were in this situation? As it turns out in this case it WAS a gun, it WAS illegally concealed, and the man WAS also resisting! And so what does the community do before finding out any of the relevant facts of the case? They pull an Al Sharpton and riot! They jump on up and down on police cars and burn and loot! They scream for police to be shot! You know what I say? Screw all you lefty jackasses!!! Our police officers have every right to defend themselves, just like the rest

Jul 15, 2018 Chicago should do the same as Baltimore. Give them the space to riot, loot and burn. Let them get it off of their chests. They'll feel better and no officer will be injured. Of course there maybe some residual damage, like burnt down businesses, but I'm sure the city has money stashed away in it's coffers to rebuild the city. "Burn that fucker down!" Oh, wait! That was the Ferguson chant for urban renewal. Sorry, it's difficult to tell one shithole from another.
