News Station Exposes Chicago Cop For Calling Somebody A 'Libatard' On Facebook

Chicago Police Officer John Venckus has made headlines for his use of the word "libatard."

Chicago, IL - Chicago Police Officer John Venckus was recently exposed by the hard-hitting journalists at WBBM-TV for using the term "libatards" on social media.

WBBM reported that the incident happened on Monday, beneath a Chicago Breaking News Facebook post.

The Facebook page posted a Chicago Tribune news article about the Pearl Jam concert being delayed due to weather.

The concert was scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. but had to be delayed due to heavy rain.

That's when Officer Venckus dropped his bombshell comment.

"Good take cover libatards," he said, in complete disregard of punctuation.

Officer Venckus' comment failed to gain a single like or comment in the 15 hours after it was posted.

It's not clear who alerted the news station to the comment, but they took immediate steps to investigate.

WBBM was able to reach the officer by phone, who appeared to double-down on the use of "libatard."

“Libatards are used all the time for people who are called liberals,” he told the station.

The station also asked him about the nefarious meaning behind his post telling people to "take cover" under an article about heavy rain at a Pearl Jam concert.

Officer Venckus responded, "Just that it was raining, take cover.”

Pearl Jam recently made headlines after releasing a concert poster which depicted a vulture eating President Trump's corpse. Many Republicans condemned the poster.

WBBM has reached out to Chicago PD to see if they are ready to discipline most of the officers in the department for saying things that other people don't like, but they have not yet received a response.

And some foolish "journalist" got paid for this "breaking news". Instructing people to "take cover" during bad weather is nefarious? Best to leave them exposed to lightening strikes? This story writer is a joke. Can't even call that journalism. What is the name of the station? World Breaking Bowel Movements? Someone struck by lightening at a concert would actually be more newsworthy.

Let me get this straight. "Libtard" is the word someone is stressing about... Really? Did everyone take a crazy pill, today? Obviously none of them has ever been within earshot of the locker-room, before.

Maybe it's time to hold reporters accountable for their bullying.

He should be reprimanded for using “libatards”. Take the “a” out next time because it’s “libtards”. Other than that egregious act, who cares? More fake news.

Apparently this news reporter is doing the bare minimum, job-wise. There are tons of real news stories out there if you want to get off your ass and find them.

Big deal. WBBM should have been reporting on the latest murders and shootings in Chicago. This is the guy’s personal FB Page. He’s at least entitled to as much freedom of speech as the cretins who depicted a sitting President as dead and being eaten by a vulture!
